Get some Life - Patch note comments 4.0.6

So the PTR is up and the patch notes are in, This info may be wrong as blizz might change there minds before it goes live but here is what I have noticed.

Alchemy -

3 new Alchemists stones have been added

Quicksilver Alchemist Stone - 50 Volatile Life 24 Cinderbloom and 12 Heartblossom

Vibrant Alchemist Stone - 50 Volatile Life 8 Cinderbloom 20 Azashra Veil 8 Heartblossom

Volatile Alchemist Stone  - 50 Volatile Life 12 Cinderbloom and 24 Heartblossom

Also :

The number of herbs required to create flasks has been reduced, while the Volatile Life needed has been increased slightly.

This slight increase is 2 per flask .My suggestion would be to Stockpile Volatile Life as there will be a increase in Demand for it .

Jewelcrafting - 

• Meta gems with the Chaotic and Relentless prefixes now have a requirement of 3 red gems.
• New meta gems have been added: Agile Shadowspirit Diamond (Agility/3% critical damage), Reverberating Shadowspirit Diamond (Strength/3% critical damage), and Burning Shadowspirit Diamond (Intellect/3% critical damage). These new recipes are unbound and can drop from any Cataclysm creature. The new meta gems have a requirement of 3 red gems equipped.
• A socket has been added to all crafted epic armor pieces that did not already have one.

Good news here more gems slots added and also some new meta Gems will be coming onto the market . The Meta Gems will be World drop Recipes so it will be a fight to get those and get them on the AH .

So I am going to be stocking up on Volatile Life ready to sell on patch day and possibly stocking up on Herbs .

Truegold or not to Truegold that is the question

In My View the First wave of people have now geared up ready for raiding of Heroics , so this mean that the demand for true gold has dropped down . On my Server True gold now sells between 800-900g down form 1.2k a few weeks ago .

I am not sure if the price has stabilised yet but I think that we are close to the mark .I am still waiting for my server to get back into the rhythm of raiding and once that happens the market should start to hit a more stable point .

What are the Mats for Truegold ? 
3 x Pyrium Bar
10 x Volatile Fire
10 x Volatile Air
10 x Volatile Water

On my Server the Pyrium Bar about sell for 30-40g each the Volatile Fire and Volatile Water are about 25g and Volatile Air is normally about 40g .

The Mats cost to make one bar on my server is about 1020g so with these selling at 800-900g you are making a loss on them but there are still ways to make gold from using your cool down .

Sell your cool down in trade chat
Use your Cool down to Transmute .

Making Profit from the transmute .
On My server Volatile life sells about 10g and Volatile Air sells for 40g , you can convert 15 Volatile Life each cool down using Transmute:Living Elements and depending on location will depend on your result .

Mount Hyjal: Volatile Fire

Vashj'ir: Volatile Water

Deepholm: Volatile Earth

Uldum: Volatile Air

So look at the Auction house prices and see which Volatile sells the best then work out your profit for me .

My Profit Per transmute  - 15 Volatile Life  costs 150g  transmute to Volatile Air and Sell for 600g = 450g profit.

These are just for my Server but I am sure they will be similar to your so before you sell your transmute make sure you do the quick sum and see what's going to offer you the best Value .

Cold's Gold Factory Blogging Carnival - What is one of your favorite farming spots in Cataclsym?

Well Great news there is a new blogging Carnival happening over at Cold's Gold Factory 

So the First one is What's your Favourite Cataclysm Farming spot 

I have 2 spots I enjoy farming - 

My Top spot is in Deepholm and From it you can get over 150 Embersilk an hour . 

The spot is in the image below 

The Original Post I made on it is Embersilk Cloth Farming - 150 + Cloth an Hour  

If you combine farming this spot with a Potion of treasure finding then then you can have awesome results . The Best one of my Readers has had is :

1 Hour of farming with the elixer and I got:

510 Embersilk Cloth
8 Volatile Earth
6 Volatile Life
6 Volatile Air
6 Volatile Fire
4 Volatile Water

Then Greens DE'd:

26 Hypnotic Dust
3 Greater Celestial Essences 

+ a couple hundred gold from silver.

So hope you enjoy the spot as much as I have

Well its not a Cata one but i still really enjoy this spot .- 


Why ? 
Wool cloth
Green Winged Macaw 
And BOE - Blues 




So this spot isn't going to make hundreds of gold an hour but it easy to farm and offers some nice drops . for low level people . But give it a go its good fun and a break from high level grinding 

Embersilk Cloth Farming 150+ Cloth an hour

EDIT : This location has been Nerfed but here is the new location The Best Embersilk Farming Locations 

So every now and then some traditional farming is invloved to finish off one of your professions . As i want to level out my Tailor but dont want to pay 10g for one Embersilk cloth i decided to find somewhere to farm . The good news is I have found a spot to farm about 200 Ember silk cloth a hour.

Where ? 
Deepholm at the Shuddering spines where the big arrow points to .

The Mobs to farm are called Jaspertip Swarmer and hunt in packs of 5 and have 10.7k Hp each . I have been farming with my Mage and have been getting between 150-200 cloth a hour and normally a few greens and the odd blue .

Also there are 2 Friendly mobs patrolling called Son Of Kor and ever now and then all the mobs in a area will attack them so watch out for this and then run over tag all the mobs and help the npc kill them .

I have also experimented with using Potion of treasure finding here and the potion lasts for 1 hour and i looted 15 Tiny Treasure Chests receiving 60 Embersilk Cloth , 35 gold and 2 Volatile Life

So back to the farming for me as i still need 350 more Embersilk Cloth  to finish off
