The Best Savage Leather Farming Spots- 300+ an hour 

I have put together a list of the best farming spots for Savage leather I can find at the moment don't forget that adding a Potion of Treasure finding will also boost your results .

Tol Barad 

Here is the best place to farm Savage leather in the game at the moment . The Swamp area in Tol Barad  the mobs Baradin Crocolisks . If the Daily quest involved killing the Baradin Crocolisks then there will be loads of people killing them and not many skinning them. I was able to get about 150 savage leather in 15 minutes with other people leaving the mobs to be skinned so based on that you could get close to 600 an hour .

Mount Hyjal 

In Mount Hyjal The Best place to farm Savage leather is at Sethria Roost . The Mobs are Twlight dragonkin and have a very fast spawn and not too much health .The spots also drops blackened dragon scales and a greater percentage of leather Scraps so if you lower level this is a great spot to farm .

Twilight highlands 

There are two Great spots in Twlight highlands to farm Savage leather if you want Blacked dragon scales then The Obsidian Forest is the spot if not Spot 2 is great spot 

The Obsidiam forest
This is the Best spot for range dps to farm Savage leather , sit yourself on top of a tree and dps the dragons flying about. If your not a ranged dps the mobs are all about on the gound  you can tag them and then drag into the NPCs to help with the killing.








The other Great spot for Farming Savage leather in Twilight highlands is from the Black Breach down towards Dragonmaw Port . You will find Different mobs such as Owls,wolves,gryphons and elks ,all of the mobs can be skinned and have a great re spawn rate so you wont have to wait long for the re spawns.

Vashir 

In Vashir There is a great spot to farm Savage leather just close to smugglers scar , There are lots of Sea snakes that are needed for a quest , they have low hit points and if the area is busy then there are lots of snakes to farm . There are also sharks that can be killed and skinned while here too .

 Uldum

The Finial spot for farming Savage leather I want to talk about is the Riverbed crocolisks down in Uldum by the dam if you are a herbalist this a great spot to gather at as well .

Embersilk Cloth Farming - The Best locations 

Blizzard has stealth nerfed the best farming spot for Embersilk Cloth in deepholm which was giving 150+ cloth an hour. But where else is good to go and farm Embersilk Cloth now ?

Below are the best places I have found to farm Embersilk cloth in the different Cataclysm zones .Remember that all of these spots can be improved with using a potion of treasure finding ,

Tol Barad  - Lvl 85 

The Best place I have found here is the Restless soldiers in the Restless front  . The reason that these are good to farm is that two mobs are fighting each other and  you can tag them once there at down to 17k health . This spot seems to be the best spot for farming Embersilk Cloth in wow at the moment .

The Problems farming are 

- You must be lvl 85 

- Its a PVP Zone 

Uldam 

There are 2 great places to farm Embersilk Cloth in Uldam

The Obelisk of the moon 
The Obelisk of the Moon, has the mobs  Schnottz Excavators and Schnottz Overseers which both have a good drop rate but only are here if you haven't done the quest line.

Schnottz's Landing 

There are 3 boats down here that if you haven't done the quest chain then there are Schnottz Sea Troopers down there that have a good drop rate of Embersilk Cloth .Also the troopers are still there once You have done the quests just not in as great numbers .

Mount Hyjal 

In Mount Hyjal i have found  two good farming spots for Embersilk Cloth  .The First spot is just by Sulforon Spire and Ascendants Rise , the mobs to farm are called Twilight Retainer and Twilight Augur . The Mobs have about 50k hp and are only lvl 81  with a good respawn time .

The second spot to farm Embersilk Cloth is by a shiny portal with Twilight Fild Captains and Twlight scorchlords the mobs have about 30k hp and also have a good spawn rate .

Twilight Highlands

There are 2 good spots to farm Embersilk Cloth in twilight highlands but also these spots are harder as the mobs have much more health and hit  harder . But the rewards are better as they drop more gold and more cloth  .

The First spot is on the beach by both of the Towns , there are mobs fighting each other so its easy to tag these mobs . The Highbank Marines and the Axebite Marines are the mobs you want to be killing . They are lvl 84 and have about 70k hpp but you can tag them when there on lower health .

The Second spot is probably the hardest spot I have found that is good for farming Embersilk Cloth but also the drop rate is  good , the Elementium Depths .There are 2 types of mobs in here Depths overseer and Twilight miners .Both are lvl 85 and have about 70k hp .

Cold's Gold Factory Blogging Carnival - What is one of your favorite farming spots in Cataclsym?

I have 2 spots I enjoy farming - 

My Top spot is in Deepholm and From it you can get over 150 Embersilk an hour . 

The spot is in the image below

If you combine farming this spot with a Potion of treasure finding then then you can have awesome results . The Best one of my Readers has had is :

1 Hour of farming with the elixer and I got:

510 Embersilk Cloth
8 Volatile Earth
6 Volatile Life
6 Volatile Air
6 Volatile Fire
4 Volatile Water

Then Greens DE'd:

26 Hypnotic Dust
3 Greater Celestial Essences 

+ a couple hundred gold from silver.

So hope you enjoy the spot as much as I have

Well its not a Cata one but i still really enjoy this spot .-

So this spot isn't going to make hundreds of gold an hour but it easy to farm and offers some nice drops . for low level people . But give it a go its good fun and a break from high level grinding 

What has been selling on the Auction house in cataclysm - Christmas Cartel

So Here are my Sales so far this week .

Winter Viel Wow i didn't have enough stock !
Small Eggs I have sold 34 stack of 5 for a total of  674 g
Red Winter Clothes SO far i have sold 33 for a total of 747g
Bolt Of woollen Cloth sold 155 for a total of 622 g
Woollen Cloth sold 31 stacks for 341g
Bolts of Runecloth 23 in stack of 4 for 263g
Gingerbread Cookie 12 stack of 5 for 212g
Green Winter Clothes sold 9 so far for 435g
Ice Cold Milk 19 sold for 18g

So for the first two days of just winter Veil sales i have made  3312g so being prepared has netted some nice profits .

Embersilk Cloth Farming 150+ Cloth an hour

EDIT : This location has been Nerfed but here is the new location The Best Embersilk Farming Locations 

So every now and then some traditional farming is invloved to finish off one of your professions . As i want to level out my Tailor but dont want to pay 10g for one Embersilk cloth i decided to find somewhere to farm . The good news is I have found a spot to farm about 200 Ember silk cloth a hour.

Where ? 
Deepholm at the Shuddering spines where the big arrow points to .

The Mobs to farm are called Jaspertip Swarmer and hunt in packs of 5 and have 10.7k Hp each . I have been farming with my Mage and have been getting between 150-200 cloth a hour and normally a few greens and the odd blue .

Also there are 2 Friendly mobs patrolling called Son Of Kor and ever now and then all the mobs in a area will attack them so watch out for this and then run over tag all the mobs and help the npc kill them .

I have also experimented with using Potion of treasure finding here and the potion lasts for 1 hour and i looted 15 Tiny Treasure Chests receiving 60 Embersilk Cloth , 35 gold and 2 Volatile Life

So back to the farming for me as i still need 350 more Embersilk Cloth  to finish off

I haven't had the best week making gold  but i have been levelling up my main and working on crafting on my alts.

What has been selling on the Auction house in cataclysm - My Sales

I am sure people are asking what has been selling and what can i sell , well here is my list of top sellers from the Addon My sales Sorted by volume

Netherweave Bags at the top then Infinite dust and  Vanishing powder !Various Glyphs and also Darkmoon Rouges Decks . This sales log is on one of my alt who deals in general goods and my glyph seller .

The majority of my sales are vendor recipes and Glyphs at the moment .

So from what I can see people still want items to help with levelling and there crafting so vendor recipes sell well and all the basic glyphs also sell well .

Also I haven't started to post my Stockpile yet but will start too soon .

My Tips -
- Vanishing dust go buy from vendor and put on AH
- Vendor recipes - have a quick trip around the old world and collect some recopies

The Cataylsym Shuffle - The True worth of ores

Back in Wotlk We had the saronite shuffle but with Cataclysm there are new Ores so  are there new ways to make gold with them , but the question is what are they actually worth ?

So what's the new shuffle ?

Below is chrat produced by Z-man from the JMTC forums and has kindly allowed me to use it

So as you can see that both Obsidum and elementioum actually are the same when it comes to the shuffle .But i would suggest going for elementium as its more easially farmed and yeilds rare gems more often .

To Best make use of the shuffle you need a Jewlcrafter , Alacmist and a enchanter .So early on in the expansion there are a couple of main  issues to consider 

 Is the market overinflated ?
What can sell the jewlly for ?

As both ores have a base price of 9g per 5 . When considering to either cut into gems or to make jewllery make sure that your end profit is profit and not a loss .

Also if you have access to a alacmist then the transmute of the lesser gems into rare gems is also of great benefit and can yeild a strong profit . 

At the moment on my server the uncut gems sell for 50g each and the rare for 100g each . So i am buying out any ore under 175g a stack . If I craft the jewllery I can normally sell them for 50-100g for green and 250g up for the blues . So overall i make a profit on this at the moment .

Also dont forget the old Saronite shuffle with people dumping both ore and gems onto the market .

Quick Gold Before Cata - Auction House Conversion Part 1

So I have currently been testing out a theory that just by buying one type of item on the Auction house and changing it to a different item a larger amount of gold can be made . But how can you turn lead into gold ?


Items for Any Class 

Frozen Orbs
So what can you do with them ? You can trade them for Eternals by visiting Frozo the Renowned in Dalaran . What you should see is that the price for frozen orbs should  be the same price as the Highest Eternal (Eternal Life ,Eternal Fire,Eternal Air Eternal Water , Eternal Shadow and Eternal Earth ) . I find this is not he case and there is normally a difference . So for a quick sell buy some Frozen orbs convert them to the highest selling  Eternal and wait for the Gold.

Heavy Borean Leather 
Well the simple one here is that 10 of this item will trade up for 1 Arctic Fur  its not one to invest in for stockpiling but there still selling and it can be a cheap conversion .

Other items 
There are many items that can be combined or broken down to release the mats and these also can be profitable to buy change and sell  .

All of the above Eternals

The Various Essences

Enchanters 


Abyss Crystal 
So this has been the focus of my experiment if you use the spell Abyssal Shatter then it will produce you about 6-11 Infinite dust or 3-6 Greater cosmic essences . I generally find its produces more essences then dust , but I have been buying all crystals under 10 gold and making some great profits from it .

Void Shatter 
So for this one you need to be honoured with The Shattered sun offensive but if your Void crystals are cheap its another small earner by converting them to 2 Large prismatic Shards 

Jewlcrafter

So There are some great conversions here all of the 4 below sell for 3g 14s 78c .

BloodStone band 
Crystal Chalcedony Amulet 
Crystal Citrine Necklace 
Sun Rock Ring 

So go to your ah and check the price of the following  Sun Crystal ,Bloodstone ,Chalcedony, Citrine and Crystallized Earth .

To make any of the above you need 1 gem and 2 Earth so do the simple sum and add the cost together and make a profit .

The next two rings to look at are
Stoneguard and shadowmight I would suggest working with a enchanter to turn these into enchanting materials especially with the amount of Infinite dust that you get . To make these rings you need 2 Eternal Earths for Stoneguard and 1 Eternal Earth and 1 Eternal Shadow for Shadowmight.

Tailor 
I haven't found any direct conversions but a simple one is to buy cloth and make bolts and then relist the blots .
Miner 
What's the vendor price for 20 bars ?

Copper Bar 2 silver
Bronze Bar  10 silver
Iron Bar       40 silver
Mithril Bar  80 silver
Thorium Bar 1g 20 silver
Fel Iron Bar 4g
Cobalt Bar  7gold 50 silver
Saronite Bar 25 gold

So as you can see from the above list saronite is a safe bet to buy ore at 12.5g a stack but it will give you a view on others and what prices you can snatch them up at .
