Am I Doing this wrong ? Part 1

While working in my Previous RL job that i got made redundant from ( so I am looking for new job so if you know of anything let me know in based in London ) I used to do a lot of process improvement . This got me thinking what is my current gold making process and is it actually efficient .


First I decided to look at my  Banking Setup .

Whats Wrong with it ? 
Well all my Guild Banks are Full , I have a large amount of Stock that I am not Actually Selling its just dead money sitting there . So A big job i need to do is go into my banks and sort all the items out and make sure i have one of each on the AH .

Splitting over alts ? 
I am Still a fan of this as i can clearly see who is selling what and help separate the markets .

Do you horde in your guild banks ?
Do you have multiple bank alts ?

Next to look at my crafting and how i deal with it .

What has been selling on the Auction house - Friday

So its Friday and this is what my Week has been , I haven't really spent to much time focusing on the AH with making the TSM guides and Having the Flu I have just let things tick by and this is the results . 

The Results are split over a few characters as I am working on streamlining my selling process at the moment so I can have better visibility on what's selling and in each profession.

This was from my Prospecting for Gold Character so you can look there to see what happened

Well I started using Tradeskill Master a couple of days ago to enter the Scroll market and this has been the result from the mats just kicking about in my bags . 

Now its just setting the items up to auto restock , Anyone know what other scrolls are good to sell ?

As you can see Gems glyphs and enchanting mats have been a great seller and also Crocolisk tails .

Prospecting for Gold Day 3 - Pure Profit

Wow is all I have to say really I opened my mail to this today

So a total of 7165g sales made over night .

But where does this Put us overall ?

Day one Sales - 4876g 
Day two Sales - 7165g
Float ( for Fees) 300g 

Total Made so far  :11741g
Amount Spent on Ore : 7150g

Profit  : 4591g and I still Have 5.1k of auctions left on the AH to Sell .

What sold ? ( Since Last post )

Summary - 
So Day 2 and I have already made my money back which is great and 4k profit with another 5k potential soon.Really pleased that the spreadsheet worked as I always hesitant to try a new gold making Idea when there is no solid proof that it will work , but the number have proved it.

Do People want me to carry on till all is sold on this ?

Prospecting for Gold Day 1 - The Setup

As a new Awesome spreadsheet came out I though it was about time to try it our and see how it worked in a live setting . For the spreadsheet i am using you can see my post The Shuffling Spreadsheet that Killed them All 


So I went shopping at the AH and got the following :


70 Stacks of  Obsidium Ore at 75g a stack
20 Stacks of Elementium Ore  95g a stack

There was a good number of Blue items made so i will be selling them on the AH . Also I won't Be listing the Nightstone Just yet and will be looking for a JC to Cut the uncut Rares .

So now its time to wait and see what sell and then what I will have to relist , come back tomorrow and see how I have done .But we are hopefully looking at a good Sold profit from this experiment .

What has been selling on the Auction house - This Week ( 8 Days)

I am still in the middle of doing lots of changes to the site , Setting up Zoxy's Gold Resource and also trying to work with bloggers limited functionally . Also I am levelling my Druid at the moment got him to 60 yesterday . So nice and busy so haven't been selling as much as i would like but here are the last 8 days Sales top sellers in Volume and Value ( Why 8 Days - MySales Settings while I will do a a guide on shortly )

Zephrite and Nightstones - This is one of the Gems needed for the Jewelcrafter Dailies  , on my server they normally Sell between 10-15g on non Daily Days but inflate when the Quest is available

MFC - Someone Else was barking so i drop 60 odd into the market as they undercut me before . Was only making 5g per card.

Netherweave Bags - I still have about 40 stacks of bolts left just need to actually make them into bags, i am still amazed that these are selling , so if your a tailor get makign them .

Gems - Brilliant Inferno Ruby has been My Best seller , also with these i have been listed them at midnight and been selling 3-4 before getting undercut again  . The Market Daily change on these goes from 160g down to 99g  on my server so watch the trends if your selling .

Mithril Spurs - you don't need Max Lvl blacksmithing to make these same with the golden rods that have been selling really well  .

Cat Carrier ( silver Tabby ) - Vendor Pets got to love them you but them for under 1g and flip that for a massive profit  .

Here are my Items  By Value -

Formula : enchant Cloak Superior Arcane Resistance  - This is a Northrend Drop that on enchanters can pick up .

Highbourne Scrolls - Archaeology Key stones sell well as people just want to get that last bit of the item completed .

Various Recipes - I flip vendor recipes and it good to sell them sell , they are slow sellers but hav a very good profit margin .

What has been selling on the Auction house - Over the Weekend

So here are my top selling items from this weekend , I haven't sold massive amounts of items as I have been busy sorting out my Site . But let have a look at what's been selling :

MFC - Well these just keep on selling , I am not selling the same numbers as i use to as i am focusing on other markets and there is now a lot of under cutters but there still a great seller .

Netherweave Bags - What can i say they just keep on selling the more i list the more i can sell , i got all my cloth for under 3g a stack and have been making great profit from them .

Zephyrite - JC dailies are having a great impact on these I buy them during non daily days and then resell on the Days its the Daily I am make about 20-30g a gem.

Gems - I have finally found some good cuts for my server , but at the same time some cuts have dropped down to 20-40g , so do you research on these.

Recipes - I have a very large stock of recipes and Philosopher's Stone is a great once to sell especially with the amount of people lvling up Alchemy to take advantage of Truegold and transmutes

Flame - Ascended Pantaloons  - I was very disappointed with this sale yes i still made 5k off it i was hoping for more but my market is flooded with them and prices are dropping on both this and the epic belts.

Recipes - Some great flips as well on recipes , Mithril Spurs and Guardians belt were both got for under 10g . Also another one to mention is Pattern Herbalist Gloves - There alliance only and Phased if you haven't done the Quest line.

What has been selling on the Auction house in cataclysm - 4-5 of Jan

Some how I managed to reset my WTF file and wipe my setting the other day so while I am resetting up APM I wanted to share with you what's been selling for the past couple of days on my AH .


Gems - 
The Gem market is doing well on my server , but only for a few cuts the meta gems I am loosing 100g  for each one I am selling ( brought some metas at 500g while power lvling JC).But I now have 3 of the 525 jewellery recipes and will cover the loss by selling them .

Zephyrite - This was sold for 75g in stack on 3 as it is the JC daily today i normally buy them up if there under  20g on no daily days

Glyphs - 
These are still strong sellers and i would recommend looking at all the glyphs that require Ethereal Ink and adding to your snatch lists as Tbc Herbs are now a problem to buy in bulk .

Recipes : 
As I have my fallback for all my recipes set at 100g it always surprises me when they then sell for 100g but as you can see above some great sales . Well apart from Superior Nature resistance which i put in the wrong apm group !

So Here are my Sales so far this week .

Winter Viel Wow i didn't have enough stock !
Small Eggs I have sold 34 stack of 5 for a total of  674 g
Red Winter Clothes SO far i have sold 33 for a total of 747g
Bolt Of woollen Cloth sold 155 for a total of 622 g
Woollen Cloth sold 31 stacks for 341g
Bolts of Runecloth 23 in stack of 4 for 263g
Gingerbread Cookie 12 stack of 5 for 212g
Green Winter Clothes sold 9 so far for 435g
Ice Cold Milk 19 sold for 18g

So for the first two days of just winter Veil sales i have made  3312g so being prepared has netted some nice profits .

I was happily selling my boots at 50g a pair and then got this mail . Asking me to kindly increase my prices how could i say no . So i have now been selling boots at 100g and doing well

What has been selling on the Auction house in cataclysm - My Sales Part 2

After my Rocky Start today my Sales from yesterday have been great.

Netherweave Bags - These just keep selling so if you have a tailor keep buying and making them .
Infinite Dust - As you can see 41g a stack of these and i only had 27 stacks that sold within an hour of listing

The Two Cuts i am using for my JC are selling very well as you can see , there is a lot of competition but also high demand so don't worry if too many people undercut as there will still sell .

Saronite ore - Could be a a lucky day of sales but sold for 32gold a stack whci is a 20g profit per stack for me .

Wool and Cookies - I had some seasonal spices in the bank so made some ready to sell . Wool as people have started buying it today .

Ebonsteel Belt Buckle - Took a while to start selling but are going well now and i have been making a good profit from these .


PVP gear - also going well but cloth is too expensive to buy and craft tat the moment but most are from me skilling up .

The other Item I sold was a Dreamless Belt for 16kg and it cost me 4k to make so look at the prices and sell them as there will be a good profit for the first Month or so
