So as I look at how to make gold we need to look at the basics where to get your stock from ?
- Vendors
- Gathering
- Dungeon Farming
- Auction House
- Farming mobs
Vendors
For me this a Very sold source of income most vendor recipes cost under 1g and then normally sell for between 5g to 100g +. I normally spend a few hours a week stocking up my guild bank .
What items to look for ?
- Limited spawn recipes
- Limited Spawn Green
- Limited Spawn Engineering Goods
- If your 84 then limited spawn goods from twilight highlands
Other vendor Best sellers
- Pets
- Mysterious Dust and Enchant Vellums
Also remember all the Vendors in Outlands and in Northrend as less people will now be visiting them.
But as a rule visit every vendor you see and buy there limited items to sell on the AH .
Gathering
One staple of making gold is gathering , if you levelling up a new alt then this is a must now to have duel gathering for both herbs and ore . Also at higher levels you can then supply to the market .
Point of note
- The top Level Ore/Herbs are not allways the most expensive so check the ah before you go farming
Dungeon Farming
I enjoy solo Farming some dungeons , this is a great source for enchanting mats and cloth .
Example :
Deadmines - Lots of Wool Drops and also a chance of the Green Parrot - So you can if you lucky make 2-300 gold a run in there .
Dire - Maul - Go for a tribute run and Try get Schematic Major Recombobulator To drop
Stratholme - Living side - mats for Crusader enchant Undead side - Chance of a mount drop .
Waling Caverns - Chance of a Raptor Pet to drop
There are many other reasons to farm different ones but those are some of my favourites , overall they give a good amount of loot and are not too taxing if they are much lower then you .
Auction House
There is a massive source of cheap items here to to resell . This is a topic by its self and i would recommend that you look in the Blog Collections and look at my series on Auctioneer resale does it really work .
General Tips
- Trade Goods
- Buy late at night or early in the morning
Farming Mobs
Farming mobs for particular items or rare drop can be profitable if you know where to look . I would also suggest that if your a Skinner then farming mobs for leather can be a good way to get some Stock
Mobs to farm
- Embersilk cloth
- Pets - For the rare pets there are different mobs that you can farm - Have a look on wow pets
That's a quick summary of where to look to get your stock the next topic will be getting ready to sell and what addons to use .
