Ethereal Ink where has it gone ? - TBC Herbs and The Glyphs they make

TBC Herbs and The Glyphs they make

For those of use that didn't trade in our Ink of the Sea before patch 4.0.3a you might start to notice that Ethereal Ink is a pain to get hold of and the price has increased  for Burning Crusade Herbs because they are now very thin on the market

If you want to trade Blackfallow ink you will need to trade 3 ink per glyph  .Which if your server is anything like my server then this will cost you about 15-20g per ink that meansthe base cost from this should be 45-60g to make the Glyphs .

So its the simple couple of  questions how much does 1 Blackfallow ink cost on your server and how much do the below glyphs sell for ?

If any of the below glyphs are cheaper then 3 inks I would buy and then resell above that price .

Here is the List of Glyphs that Require Ethereal Ink these have all been added to my snatch list at the cost of 2 inks so for me i will be buying all of these if they are listed at 30g or less .

  1. You're a mind reader! I started making a list of glyphs last night & which herbs/inks they use. On my server, all herbs except the silverleaf & peacebloom are stupid high prices - great for farmers, not so good for scribes & alchemists.

  2. Very nice list.

I had half expected the wave of new characters to decrease the costs of herbs/ore/leather as they worked their way through specific content but it appears most people didn't even bother with professions until after they leveled.

I did recently level a new character and you burn through the BC content so fast that it didnt really give you a chance to grind any herbs or ore. I finished BC about halfway through Blades Edge with no Heirloom gear or guild xp bonuses. I expect with the extra xp bonus that you could finish by the end of Terrokar if you have most of the heirloom gear.

  3. The only problem I have with this strategy is that many of these glyphs are appearing on my server at about the cost of the inks--profit margins very thin, like 2g-4g.

Also, there seem to be a lot of them. I surmise that many people are leveling new scribes, and these are the step ups for them to get the next level. They seem to be in stacks of 5 for the most part.

On a selective basis this might work though. I will give it another look over the weekend.

Thanks for the list--very good resource.
